Sara Evan's Love Lifted Me

Most of you all probably know the name Sara Evan's as a award-winning country singer. What some of you might not know is, she also wrote a series of Christian novels with co-author Rachel Hauck. Here, in another "book cover" post are not one but two alternate designs that Sara posted to her home page asking fans to vote on which they liked better:

When I happened upon the post, I voted for "1." I thought it was really cute and very "country-looking." Imagine my surprise when it came publication time and the actual cover was actually a slightly revised version of "2":

In the end, I think the holding-hands-scenario is actually really tender and goes well with the novel title. I'd be curious to know, readers, not just which cover art you might like best, but have any of you read these novels? I have been curious about a series written by a song-writer whose music I am familiar with but have as yet to crack open the pages to any in the series. ("Love Lifted Me" is the third book.) As always, your thoughts are most welcome - and on a side note, do you guys want to see more book reviews on here? - so sound off below.

  2. I am quite curious about these, Trinka. Hopefully next time I get to the book store a copy will be in-stock because I've wanted to read the first one since it released a few years back.

  3. I tried one The Sweet By and By and didn't love it. I need to try book two sometime.

I think I like cover 1 best :) Even though the one with the child is super sweet.

  4. Great to know, Juju - thanks! =)

I like Sara's music, so I thought it could be fun to read her novels plus I think my mom has read a couple of books by the co-author and like them. Anyway, maybe I'll give them a try sometime.

  5. I find that you did amazing decision when you picked out this theme of the article of yours. Do you usually make your articles on your own or you work with a writing partner or an assistant?
