Giveaways!

Afternoon, all! Today is an exciting day – one I’ve anticipated ever since getting my assigned tour date. Not only do I finally get to share a review and spotlight Amber’s Bleeding Heart, we also get to kick off some giveaways around here. The first of four in the next month (so stayed tuned).

Today since we are featuring, Amber’s lovely novel, we have two chances for you to win a copy of her novel. First up is a lovely prize package put together by the author featuring things that reminded her of the novel’s setting and anything she felt applied to the book – plus (bonus!), you will be getting a signed paperback copy of the book. (Find the picture below to see what you will be entering to win, but please note that since the paperback version of a novel is not yet available that is missing). This giveaway is open to US residents only.

Secondly, enter for a chance to win an e-copy of either Bleeding Heart or my friend, Charity’s debut novel I, Claudia – there will be two winners drawn (randomly, via Rafflecopter), winner’s choice! Read on below to find the rules and synopses of each book.

First up, we have to get the boring part out of the way – the RULES!

The “Journey to the West” giveaway is open to those with a US address only, the second to US and Canada readers. One comment will count as an entry for the Refflecopter widgets that offer the “comment” option, just be sure to "enter" the information into the widget. Also, please I will just ask that anyone who leaves a comment under "anonymous," please leave the same name you enter into the widget - it's not nearly as easy to try and match comments when there is no name and in fairness to everyone else who already has a linked blog profile, I want to be sure everyone who uses the Rafflecopter correctly has a fair chance at winning against those who abuse it - believe it or not, there have been a couple people that I could not verify. So please, I don't mean to overwhelm or for this to sound harsh, but just keep this in mind when entering future giveaways. I'd sure appreciate it! Thank you. Now, onto the FUN part…
“Journey to the West” Giveaway! One U.S. resident (randomly drawn) will receive a signed copy of Bleeding Heart and a collection of items from the story’s settings, handpicked by the author.

Kindle giveaway:

Synopsis: The nightmares began in my childhood…

Since then, they have grown stronger. Horrific dreams of blood and death, of dark specters and betrayal haunt me.

Mother wants me to become a seer in the temple of Minerva. I would much rather marry the dashing military commander, Pilate, instead. Every auger that sees me, fears me. They know, as I do, that something is different about me, something I cannot control, and that will haunt me until a Jewish messiah takes my hand in Judea.

Not even he can save me from what lies ahead in Rome, nor, I fear, can he save Pilate from a choice that will change the course of history forever.

My name is Claudia, and this is my story…

  1. I didn't realize you could give away Kindle books but now that I think about it, it makes sense! =D

    1. I know! Neither did I! Hope I'll be able to accomplish it correctly (I am one who always wants to be sure the winners receive what they were promised) or else, I'll be in trouble. If the winners chose I, Claudia, no worries - they'll get paperback instead. :)

    2. *Waving to Charity!* How sweet of Rissi to feature both of our books today - she rocks like that! Yay for being book-release buddies! :)

And Rissi, I'm so grateful for your enthusiasm! What a lovely post - and thanks so much for offering an extra e-copy of my book! Amazon actually made it SUPER easy to give someone a Kindle book via e-mail. :) Let me know if I can help at all!

    3. Seriously, Amber, you made all this easy, girl! You've no idea how nice it was to receive all the emails (which by the way, I know I didn't get back to you about a couple of your group email queries - my apologies!) chronicling what you wanted on this tour and sharing all the pertinent information. Thank you for all your organization in putting it together. :)

I am so relieved to hear Amazon makes it easy to gift an e-book. I figured it was but ya' know, something new is a bit intimidating. Thanks for letting me know - you'll be first to hear anything if the attempt is an epic fail. :)

    1. Yippee! Me, too, Bethany. Now my review/giveaway post is up, I get to enjoy visiting all the rest of the blogs - although I will admit, I had a blast putting these posts together. :)

If you've not read Amber's Bleeding Heart, I think you'll enjoy it. Thanks for stopping by! :)

  4. I would like to visit California - neat places and people to see. But I'm not wild about long travels, so I probably won't. :)

    1. Oh, me, too, Kerry! I've never been to the beach so visiting a place like California or Florida would be a dream. It's on my "someday" list. :)

      Thanks for stopping by!

    2. I have been to Florida. Beaches are pretty wonderful. And impressive. It's just water to the horizon. :)

    3. California is an awesome place, in my opinion. ;) The thing that's interesting, though, is how long my home state is... I think most people picture California starting around San Francisco and going down through So Cal...but there's a lot of beauty up here in the true northern part. :)

    4. Kerry - oh, my, I bet it is. Since both places are inside the U.S., I think a trip to either place is doable. Just have to make it happen. If the real deal is anything like the photos, I know I'll be impressed. :)

Amber - it looks and sounds awesome. Someday... somehow, I will travel to see all this beauty. :)

    2. Aww, you guys! :)

And I bought Charity's after winning a gift card on Casey's awesome blog - looking forward to reading it sometime! It definitely sounds interesting. :)

As you say, I too am looking forward to reading I, Claudia. Just have to get through some other books first. :)

    2. Excellent choice, Ysa! I suspect Charity's will be equally as well written... I just haven't had opportunity to read it. Yet. :)

    3. *Waving to Amber!* You are so welcome!!! :o D ;o ) lol IF I win, and if I don't, I would vote and enter for your book anyway. :o )

Rissi I have both on my to-read list - *guilty look* - but I think Bleeding Heart is the one I'd choose anyway... I can get the other --- **someday**..... lol maybe someday when I'm not excitedly planning a new series of shelves & stories, and when I have the money to spend on that list of somedays......... The Right-Nows are the ones I'm trying to work on ;o )

    4. You aren't alone in that, Ysa; I've got TONS of books on my to-read list and it still grows! :) I have a mental idea of what are books need to be read now and what can wait - primarily because so many *have* to be read now for book tours and the like.

I think you'll enjoy Bleeding Heart. It's a wonderful novel that challenges the "norm" of historical fiction - in a very good way.

    2. Merry - neat! Much as I'd love to visit exotic places like Paris or tour England, there are so many places inside the U.S. to see. Maybe someday, I'll see them. :)

      Best of luck!

Amber - that's cool! Having long distance family can be "heard" because we don't get to see them. Hope you get to visit them sometimes. :)
