Cover Reveal: The One by Kiera Cass

Guess who's wearing white!?

OH. MY. WORD.

Lovelovelove this cover art for the third and *sniff* final novel in The Selection trilogy by Kiera Cass. This has been a reveal I've been waiting for now for a long while. The pose, America's expression... just everything about it is gorgeous plus it's another brilliantly lovely gown! Like seriously, as the Hollywood Crush article points out... don't you WANT to know what secret America has that we don't know!? I sure do!

Tell me, what do YOU all think!?

Check out the exclusive story on MTV's, Hollywood Crush

Plus here's the equally adorable paperback cover for the "companion" stories:

...basically, I *need* both of these. Now.

Also, take a peek at this cute behind-the-scenes video of the covershoot!

PS: I know the blog has been quiet this week, and I've missed chatting with you all! There's another cover reveal coming tomorrow (so be ready to take a look at that!) and more posts being prepped for next week. Until then...

The comments are open: WHAT DO YOU THINK!?

Happy Thursday, all.

  1. It's SPLENDID. I haven't read any of the books in the series but great, GREAT cover for the last book. Wow..

    1. My thought summed up exactly, Ganise. Not only do I want this book, I think I'd like to raid America's closet - she has some seriously gorgeous dresses! :)

Oh, you'll have to let me know what you think if ever you read this series. It's a bit more worldly, however the author has said it's partly inspired by the story of Esther.

  4. I haven't read any of the books in the series yet, but this cover makes me curious to see what it's all about. It's beautiful! And that dress. It's so purrrty :D

    Thanks for sharing :)

    1. Hey, Crystal - thanks for dropping by. You're welcome to anytime.

Isn't this dress gorgeous? Be sure to take a look at the other two books in the series, those are some pretty frocks also. Despite the more "worldly" overview of these novels, I have loved them. They're sort of like 'The Hunger Games,' but with more of a fairytale twist. :)

    2. It's been about two weeks since you posted this and I still find myself coming back just to look at that cover. I don't think I've liked a cover this much! The dress is so pretty!

By the way you describe the series, I think I'd really like it. It's moving up in my "books I really, really want to read!" list :D

    3. It is that pretty; I don't blame ya', Crystal. I tweeted about it A LOT also - and loved watching that behind-the-scenes video. So great. I have to agree with you. This cover may surpass all of the cover art in my recent memory. It's just... gorgeous. (There's a Top Ten Tuesday coming up that calls for the blogger to share cover's they wish could be re-designed. Suffice to say, this is NOT one of those.)

I've also heard these books (by fellow bloggers and the author) were inspired by the story of Esther. I can see that, only it's an apocalyptic world, which throws the similarity off-balance a bit. Hope you enjoy the series if/when you get a chance to read it; you'll be lucky to be able to read them right together! :)

    1. This series is really good, Jillian. If you're familiar with The Hunger Games, these are similar, only it has more of a fairytale notion to it.

...these are some of the most gorgeous covers in the biz. Cannot wait to add this one to my book shelf! :)

    2. Oh okay! I love The Hunger Games so these books sound like they would be right up my alley! I'll add these to my to-read list :)

    3. Awesome! Let me know what you think if/when you read The Selection, Jillian. :)

  6. I knew it! How can the cover be anything other than white? (I guess Cass wanted her series to reflect the American flag or something of that sort.) But I really did not expect it to look that astoundingly good! It's gorgeous, it's perfect -- all right, now I'm beyond excited for the last book. I still can't guess how it's going to conclude.

    1. On a side note, I didn't realise the author made, or is making, a novella for Aspen too. Well, it would only be fair to hear his "side" to the story. Should look it up. Thanks for sharing!

    2. Neither can I, Jemimah - I know how I want it to conclude but it's a mystery how the author WILL conclude it. Oh, for the suspense!

      *high five*

This cover IS gorgeous, Jemimah. I think it's the perfect design for the last book - if you click on the "Hollywood Crush" link in this post^, you can see a cute little "making of" video also. Or maybe I'll add it in. ;)

I haven't read the first novella yet but will snag this paperback with both and will likely enjoy getting perspectives from America's leading men. Could be fun. :)

      Thanks for commenting.

  7. Hi Rissi! I've not heard of this author or this series, but after seeing this cover (wow!!!!!!) and reading your comments on the series, I will DEFINITELY be reading the series this year. I may wait a little closer to the release of The One (so I don't have to wait too long for the conclusion), but I will read them soon. Thanks for sharing!

    1. This entire series of covers will result in that reaction, Brooke - aren't they stunners!? I love the series but even if I didn't, I'd almost wish these pretties on my shelf just for their sense of style. ;)

I like the way you think. Fortunately I won't have to wait too long for The One either since I'm not yet though book two - I've read it off and on in-between review books.

Thanks for commenting, Brooke - and I hope you enjoy this series! :)
