Cover Reveal + Giveaway: Morning Glory

Morning, friends! Well... we've all rang in 2014, can you believe it!? How did you ring in another new year? Mine was just how I like it - family, good food and a traditional viewing of New Year's Eve. Wishing you a blessed, safe and happy 2014.

Today, we again have another opportunity to reveal another cover(again designed by Lena Goldfinch) for our good blogging buddy, Amber Stokes (@SeasonsHumility). Her third novel in the Heart Spring's series has a targeted release day of this summer and of course, Amber has the middle novel coming out in-between Bleeding Heart and later on, Morning Glory. That book is titled Forget Me Not. Amber's debut novel was a lovely treat to have an opportunity to read and review - it didn't follow the usual patterns, which made the novel a wonderful read. Though details are limited because Amber is still in the planning and plotting stages of Morning Glory, here is what news - and the cover! - we do have for Morning Glory.

About the Book
The depths of fear. The dawning of hope.

Myghal’s story continues… Summer 2014

The Book’s and Series’ Blogs

In conjunction with the cover reveal, Amber’s doing a double “blog reveal,” as well! You can check out the book extras for Morning Glory (more coming soon!) on the Morning Glory blog, and you can keep up with all the exciting news for the series on The Heart’s Spring blog, the new home site for all three of the main books and the companion short stories!
About the Author

Amber Stokes has a Bachelor of Science degree in English and a passion for the written word – from blogging to writing poetry, short stories, and novels. After her brief time at college in Oregon, she is now back home among the redwoods of Northern California, living life one day at a time and pursuing her passion via freelance editing and self-publishing. You can connect with Amber on her blog, Seasons of Humility.
Now for the main event... drumroll, please... presenting, Morning Glory by Amber Stokes...
With all of Amber's cover designs, what I've come to love most is the emotion each one evokes. I cannot say that this one suits the descriptor (aside from its nod to the title) since we are being kept in suspense over what the book will be about (well played, Amber, well played *wink*) but I'm sure the story is going to be another emotional roller-coaster ride plus it's lovely how well the three-book series "match." Specific thoughts about this cover is the color scheme - the purple in the flowers picks up the sky backdrop creating a lovely effect. Also, I envy this shade of red hair on the model. It's quite pretty.
Well done, Amber and Lena.
Now, read ahead for the (U.S ONLY) giveaway details.

  1. The cover is SO gorgeous! I can't wait to read Morning Glory.

    1. Same here, Jillian. Cannot wait to read the next TWO books from Amber. :)

    2. That means so much to me, Jillian and Rissi! Thank you for your support for this series!! :D

  2. Thank you so much for this lovely post, Rissi! So glad you like how the covers go together, and the color scheme for this one - which I'm quite fond of, myself. :) And LOL about keeping you in suspense! I wished I had an actual blurb to share, but I realized I needed to have a better idea for the story before I did that... And as a pantser, I'm not quite ready to hem myself in, just in case the story goes places I wasn't expecting. ;)

Thank you again, my friend! *Big hugs*

    1. Thanks for accommodating my absent minded-ness, Amber! Not sure where my mind was during this sign-up process - can I blame it on all the holiday crazy-ness!? ;)

You and Lena have done a fabulous job keeping a "theme" for these covers plus I love how each shading has progressed (dark vs. light). Well done.

Keeping us in suspense is spot-on brilliant. Good for you. That's just what you need to do and yes, I totally understand what you mean about needing a better idea of where the plot/story is going. That IS rather important to a synopsis. Hooray for unexpected storylines. Sounds all very, very good. Best of luck.

  3. I absolutely LOVE this cover, colors and all! It's one that makes me stop and stare a moment - which is, I think, exactly what an author wants! So score to Lena on that, and Amber, I can't wait to read your books someday! :)

    1. Yay! Me, too! :) And that's great that it's the type of cover to catch a reader's attention - Lena is definitely talented with cover design. Thank you for the kind words, Charity!

    2. Indeed, I do agree, Charity - don't ya' love this series' cover art? It's so pretty yet always evokes an emotional reaction and that suits Amber's novels to a T. Hope you can read this series - or rather Bleeding Heart as that's all that is out, really soon, girl! It's worth it. :)

(Amber, these covers certainly snag a reader's attention. :D)

  4. I love it and couldn't be happier nor prouder of Amber.

    1. That is so thoughtful of you to say, Juju! *Hugs* Thank you for your friendship!

    2. Same here, Juju. So happy for Amber - I admire her very much for self-publishing these genuine stories. Well done to her. :)

    1. Yay! Wishing you all the best, Rachel; thanks for commenting too. :)

    2. Thank you, Rachel! Good luck in the giveaway! :)

  6. What a pretty cover! I love the femininity portrayed in all the covers for this series! This is an area that always grabs my attention in a cover, when hopefully leading to suggest a very feminine character. Looking forward to someday reading the series!

    1. Isn't it lovely, Bethany!? I enjoy the matching cover arts to their respective titles and think Amber and Lena are doing a great job with her debut series. Cannot wait to read them! :)

    2. So glad you like the covers, Bethany! Hope you enjoy meeting the heroines (and the heroes!) someday. :)
