Kindle Book Giveaway

Morning, lovelies. Today, we celebrating the release of novelist Amber Stokes second novel, Forget Me Not. The review for this novel is now up on the blog for those of you who are unfamiliar with the story and also, here's a chance for you to win an e-copy of said novel.

First things first, here are those pesky rules.

Since this giveaway is for the Kindle version only, the giveaway(s) is open internationally. Also, please I will just ask that anyone who leaves a comment under "anonymous," please leave the same name you enter into the widget in your comment - it's not nearly as easy to try and match comments when there is no name and in fairness to everyone else, I want to be able to be sure everyone who used the Rafflecopter correctly has a fair chance at winning against those who abuse it - believe it or not, there have been a couple people that I could not verify. So please, I don't mean to overwhelm, but just keep this in mind when entering future giveaways. I'd sure appreciate it!

To be entered in the giveaway, just enter as much or as little as you like into the Rafflecopter widget... and good luck everyone! This ends on February 10th.

Review, Forget Me Not by Amber Stokes

Book Synopsis:

A startling revelation sends Elizabeth Lawson escaping into a stormy night - and tosses her into the arms of a young mountain man with secrets of his own. When he offers to take her to the Nevada mining town where her long-lost brother lives, she accepts. Suspicions and uncertainties are pushed aside as she struggles to forge a future for herself by meeting her past.

David has been hiding from his painful memories for years. The solitude and wildness of the Rocky Mountains are challenge and comfort enough for him - until Elizabeth's arrival. Fueled by anger and a sense of obligation, he strives to take control of his new situation...only to find control slipping from his grasp with each new emotion Elizabeth evokes in him.

When their journey leads them on unexpected paths, can two lonely hearts find the strength to remember the good amid the heartbreak?

    1. I was going to do a giveaway post with this and your author hosted giveaway, Amber, however I couldn't find the code so I just decided to link to your giveaway which works just as dandy. :)

      Happy to offer this.

  2. Hi Rissi! I still have Bleeding Heart by Amber on my Kindle app, waiting for me to find the time to read it! Oh, if only there were more "reading" hours in the day....

Amber, keep up the good work! I'm so happy to follow along with your writing journey.

    2. I agree, Courtney and Amber - why aren't here more "reading hours"!? So not cool. ;)

Awesome! Hope you enjoy BH, Courtney - it's a really good albeit "gutsy" read and I admire that about the book. :)

    1. Julie Lessman sure knows how to write historical romance! I think my favorite of hers remains A Passion Most Pure, but I have yet to read her latest series (though Book 1 is in my TBR stack). :) Good luck in the giveaway!

    2. Molly - Julie has a very unique historical voice which is great. I've read so many of her books that I'm not sure if I've read A Love Surrendered or not. I'm thinking yes. I haven't finished Katie's story yet and still have to read one of the O'Conner brothers novels.

Thanks for participating. Great to meet you, Molly.

Amber - I just had to say, I think I like Julie's early books best too. I really like Elizabeth and John's story also - he's my favorite of Julie's heroes yet. ;)

  8. Hehe, finally a contest I cán enter, being from outside the USA!

    1. LOL, indeed it is! Yay! I'll probably start offering more international giveaways for books and just make the stipulation that if someone outside the U.S. wins, they'll receive a Kindle copy and most readers don't mind that. Good luck, Birdie! :)

    2. It's so hard to try to figure out what to do in these cases... I feel bad that my tour-wide giveaways are US-only, but as a young adult trying to pay back student loans, exorbitant shipping costs can be worrisome. :\ It was so awesome of Rissi to set this giveaway up, though! Good luck! :)

And Rissi, that's a great idea - to make the giveaways international and just stipulate that those outside the US would receive a Kindle version! Might have to consider this for our giveaways on "The Borrowed Book," or even my own blog... You have such awesome ideas, my friend. :)

    3. ...I know what you mean, Amber. I always feel bad limiting giveaways too, but oy! U.S shipping is high enough, who knows what international would be like. I'm always so grateful publisher's still offer print copies to bloggers. :)

  9. This sounds really good. I'm reading Cress by Marissa Meyer right now. Have you read any of Julianne Donaldson's or Sarah M. Eden's books? They are both set in historical England and are clean. I think you would love them!

I have read Julianne's latest book (VERY sweet) and have been eyeing Sarah's so I'm glad to have a recommendation from you. :) As for Cress, cannot wait to read that series. I've heard so many rave things about it. Hope you are liking it.

    2. So glad you think so, Tressa! And oh, I am eagerly awaiting my own copy of Cress - I pre-ordered it, and it can't come soon enough! :)

I enjoyed Julianne's books, as well. :) Thanks for stopping by!
