It’s been a long time since I was able to help promote an issue of Femnista and that’s because I haven’t been writing for the lovely webzine. That said anyone who reads this blog frequently will notice that I do have a Femnista page where you can keep up to date on future issues and easily find links to our back issues. This September/October issue is all about Femnista: Underrated Classics and I’m so thrilled to have a chance to write for.
As always, the issue features a dynamic array of talent and subjects so that no one will be bored – there is something for everyone. Ohhh. The Making of a Lady. I agree, that was a pretty amazing little story. I haven't read the book, but I saw the movie twice, and will probably want to see it again! It was so unassuming at first… haha! I loved the love story, and then the suspense and creepy side of things was so tight! Very well done, I thought. I enjoyed the read Rissi! :)
And I might have to check out some of those others!
It was indeed, Sarah. Everything about the movie was beautiful and creepy and just perfect! I've not read the book, but my aunt did and she said it was quite different than the film. Either way, I was thrilled to have the chance to see the film and am thrilled it's now available in the states. Same for me – this was my second viewing, though it won't be my last.
