Top Ten Tuesday: Sequels on my Wishlist

Morning, Top Ten Tuesday friends. Today, we are back on track and in sync with the proper topic over at Broke and Bookish. Sort of. Instead of sequels strictly on my wishlist - either I've read most the sequels I want to or I'm so not into most the series I start, because guys, putting TEN together was not easy - because a.) I already own them albeit need to read said sequel or b.) they're yet to release and/or aren't a proper sequel. Yep, so kind of back to following the rules of the weekly topic - basically this is a wishlist/own/upcoming sequel list. Pretty sure next weeks will actually just apply to the topic. Or that's what I have in mind.

Top Ten Sequels I Can't Wait To Get

The One >> The Heir, by Kiera Cass

I know this isn't technically a sequel since The Heir will actually be book four, but I *had* to add it in - plus that cover!? How can we not spotlight it.

The Hunger Games >> Catching Fire, by Suzanne Collins

Yep, still haven't read the rest of THG trilogy. Hoping to get to it before seeing Mockingjay (likely on DVD).

by Mary Jane Hathaway

While I didn't totally fall head-over-heels for Mary's Pride and Prejudice update, I'm curious about the next books in the series.

A Bride for Keeps >> A Bride in Store, by Melissa Jagears

Enjoyed Melissa's take on the oft-retold mail-order bride story.

by Amie Kaufman and Meagan Spooner

For some reason I'm not AS excited about this second book to this Starbound series of companion(?) novels, but I'll definitely read this one at some point. Perhaps I'll be surprised!

Doesn't hit store shelves until April, but CANNOT wait.

Princess in the Opal Mask >> The Opal Crown, by Jenny Lundquist

Hoping this duology ends as sweetly as it began.

Anomaly >> Luminary, by Krista McGee

Yep, I know. (The fact that I still haven't finished this one is embarrassing.)

It's been an age since I read the first book in the series, though despite my so-so feelings about some of the later novels Tracie wrote, I remember enjoying this one.

Storm Siren >> Siren's Fury, by Mary Weber

One of my MOST anticipated 2015 releases. Cannot wait.
...and guys, it's now available for Amazon pre-order!

  3. Siren's Fury: MOST ANTICIPATED 2015 RELEASE!!! I'm also anticipating The Opal Crown by Jenny Lundquist, The Death Code by Lindsay Cummings even though I haven't read The Murder Complex yet, The Heart of Betrayal by Mary E. Pearson again I haven't read book #1 yet, Shades of Doon is not a sequel but I still count it, and Deception at Sable Hill by Shelley Gray.

    1. Sounds like some good reads coming, Alyssa; I'm eager to read Jenny's as well as trying Mary's (they sound so good!) and of course, Mary Weber's is definitely a most anticipated as well. It looks/sounds great but then I'd expect nothing less. :)

Hope you enjoy your 2015 books!

  4. Catching Fire was the best one out of the THG series in my opinion! I STILL haven't read the Anomaly series! I bought the first one, but never got around to actually reading it! My Grandma did though and she loved it!

    1. I've heard tell that 'Catching Fire' is the favorite for many and I look forward to experiencing that, Laura - the movie certainly was epically good. :) I'm hoping to finish the anomaly series. Soon.

  5. I didn't realize there was going to be a 4th book in Cass's series! I still need to read books 2 and 3. I've been on pins and needles awaiting A Plague of Bogles, and it's finally on its way to me. :D Also, Golden Daughter, although it's the 7th book in its series.

    1. There are going to be two more full length novels, Tammy for a total of six books along with some novellas worked in there too. I'm pretty excited about it - they've been fun books! Hope you enjoy your current "waiting on" books... and they're good! That always makes the wait more worthwhile. :)
