Ten Most Anticipated Debuts of 2015

I have to confess. Not all of the books on the below list apply to the official topic of today's (the first in 2015...!) Top Ten Tuesday. As I was putting it together, I kept telling myself that, but of course, instead of attempting to search out the right titles, I went with it. For me, they apply because they're all new authors, however technically some of these names have already published books. This brings us to today's topic.

Top Ten Most Anticipated Debut Novels For 2015

1.) Red Queen, by Victoria Aveyard

This one intrigues me. The cover is stark yet definitely curious.

2.) Wild Hearts, by Jessica Burkhart

I didn't realize at first that Jessica has written books prior to this, which is the fourth companion novel in the "If Only" series. I'm super excited to read this one and shout-out to Bloomsbury for a review copy!

3.) The Choosing, by Rachelle Dekker

I've just recently come to realize that this novel is hotly anticipated. The only way I really knew about it was via Rel and since then, I've been seeing it everywhere.

4.) Landry Park, by Bethany Hagen

This was a 2014 debut, but since I never read it and it's getting a shiny new paperback cover, I thought it worthy of an add.

5.) The Conspiracy of Us, by Maggie Hall

To be honest, this one isn't a book I know much about. The cover was pretty though and early reviews seem favorable.

6.) Love, Fortunes and other Disasters, by Kimberley Karalius

I'm always up for a cute read and of course, this cover is just...!

7.) Center of Gravity, by Laura McNeill

I'd not heard of this one either before seeing it on Rel's cover reveal. Definitely sounds intriguing!

8.) Dauntless, by Dina Sleiman

Dina has published books before, but if I'm not mistaken, this is her firth with Bethany House. Hence, I couldn't resist adding this one in. It looks beautiful and sounds fantastic.

9.) Hello, I Love You, by Katie M. Stout

Cuteness personified. That's all I can say about this one.

10.) A Wicked Thing, by Rhiannon Thomas

Anything laced with fairytale elements, I'm in.

How about you!? Which 2015 debuts are you most anticipating.

Let's talk them up.

  1. The following author has already published her debut, but she's a relatively a new writer and I'm looking forward to her 2015 release London Tides! Her name's Carla Laureano. Curious to know if you're interested in her debut (Five Days in Skye), Rissi :-) I think I remember you saying that you are but I'm not sure... Anyhow, it's a nice one : sweet and tastefully written.

    1. I added in some authors who've already published too, Ganise. But, it works. ;) They're all new names to me, so...

Yes, I did mean to read Carla's book! I really need to add that to my Amazon mental "to-order" list for the next time I place one. Too bad I already put in my (hopefully) last Christmas order. Ah, well. Next time. I love the name of her next book. Makes me want to go look it up. That's the sign of a good book! :)

  2. I know I've said it before but the cover for Love, Fortunes, and Other Disasters is the cutest thing ever. :)

  4. So many great ones to read, I haven't read Landry Park either but I just downloaded it and hope to start it after I finish The Dandelion Field, I love this book! :) Review coming later this week or beginning of next week. I hope (fingers crossed) that The Choosing is up for review on netgalley. If not I will be getting this one either way. I looks wonderful! I'm on request for the Conspiracy of Us hope I get it if not I'm on hold for it at my library.

    1. I agree, Shannon! Too many to chose from or collect this upcoming year. Landry Park interested me last year, but I never got it. Then when I saw it had a new paperback cover, I figured it'd be the perfect time to finally read it. Hope you can snag The Choosing (I think there is a blogger program for this publisher if you can't get it through NetGalley) and 'Conspiracy.'

As for The Dandelion Field, I'm glad you like it. I finished that one a while back and agree, it was quite good. Looking forward to your review. :)

    2. I'm a tyndale blogger but sometimes they don't have the books everyone wants to get their hands on up for review. I will buy this one for sure if it isn't offered on their site or netgalley.

I read Dandelion Field before Christmas break but wanted to reread it since I enjoyed it before I wrote the review. Got to type it and Still Life this week.

    3. Ah, I see! I think I've noticed that before as well. Or maybe that was a different site...! I don't know. Either way, I think it has to do with how frequently a blogger requests books, etc. Hope you can snag it somewhere.

I wrote a review for Dandelion Field a while ago and submitted it to Life is Story for a review, but haven't read Still Life. Good luck with your reviews... I have several to write too. Best get busy, I suppose. :)

  5. The Choosing sounds interesting! And it's neat that it is from Ted Dekker's daughter.

    Great list!

  10. I've just had a look at my Amazon wishlist and realised that all the books on it releasing this year (bar two and it's a BIG list!) are by authors I've already read. Time to start keeping my eyes open for some new talent. Though I did read a lot of new-to-me authors this year that I loved so now a lot of this year's must-reads are taken up by their next books :)

  11. P.S. I've always felt sorry for authors with books being published late in the year who never get to make these kinds of lists since nothing has been released about their books yet!

    1. Hope you can find some awesome new talent, Kara. I'll admit I do like to stay with the familiar because I don't wish to force myself through a book. However I do scan for new talent.

...yes! I so agree about that. I often wish we got teasers sooner for upcoming books as well. I know they'll be lots of awesome books coming in the later months of 2015 also. Alas, we don't know about them. Yet...!

  12. Several of these also made it to my list and a few were new to me. I'll definitely be checking those out! So glad you shared. :D
