Celebrate Independence Day 2015

by

July fourth is upon us. With this Independence Day 2015 comes a flood of pride, happiness and gratefulness to be a part of something like the United States of America. With all that’s gone on in recent weeks, I won’t pretend it isn’t sometimes discouraging to hear the news. Still, the words of the National Anthem rang in my head this week and while, some of the sentiments seem lost to this world, I’m grateful knowing all that we can be. With that said, today is a day to remember all that our Founding Fathers set out to do. What they gave us, what our ancestors intended, is still important today.

Thanks to them, we have a country that we can be proud of through the years. A country whose freedoms I am beyond grateful for – and to the men and women who keep it that way.

Wishing you all a festive Fourth of July. I hope it’s as bright, shining and spectacular as it should be. Happy Independence Day 2015!

  1. Well said! (Er, you know what I mean. lol)
Did you have a nice 4th? Ours was lovely and relaxing, spent with my husband's family, playing lawn games and eating way too much.;)

    1. I did have a nice 4th, Amanda! Yours sounds much the same as mine. Family on Friday with lots of good food (I'm sort of addicted to the key lime pie recipe I made ;D) and then Saturday, we sort of spent the day working outside. That grass, unfortunately, wasn't going to cut itself. ;)

Hope you had a great Independence day!
