The INSPY Awards | Year Six Is Now Open

Good morning, readers. Happy Sunday. I hope you all enjoyed a wonderful Christmas. Today, I'm stopping by with news of the 2016 INSPY Awards. December 27th marks the start date for nominations.

Most of you probably saw there were changes made to our program this year. Here's a brief rundown of those changes. Instead of publicizing our long list, we will now be keeping it private and the top 15 books (in each category) that receive the most nominations will become our long list which we will then publicize. If there's a book you feel embodies the definition of the INSPY Awards, but you believe it's already been nominated, don't let that stop you. This year, we aren't publicizing the long list because the idea is to make the top 15 books (the books, within those parameters, that receive the most nominations - and provided they meet our book eligibility criteria, will move on) make up our long list.

So, all that to say, go ahead and nominate that book! Because, you never know. That vote could be the one that gives it a spot on the top fifteen long list.

This was done, primarily to help simplify the task of narrowing down our nominations right away, making our task and process a bit smoother in finding our short list, which consists of five books per category.

For more specificity, read our official announcement, and find our official 2016 nominations open post now on the INSPYs site, then while you're there, go ahead and begin nominating!

Thank you for your continued INSPY support. We so appreciate it.
