Crown for Christmas: British Actor Rupert Penry-Jones Stars in Hallmark’s Contemporary Fairytale

If the state of my Microsoft Word “recent file” tab is anything to go by, it’s clear I watch and subsequently review a lot of TV Christmas movies this time of year. (Maybe even too many.) So far this year, my tradition continues with Crown for Christmas. As is the case with any of the new original films Hallmark airs, I have again fallen prey to my weakness that is Christmas movies. Last night’s Hallmark premiere, Crown for Christmas, is more than a little bit cute, primarily because a familiar British face shows up in the role of leading man – and he’s a king, no less!

  1. Yeah, the short timeline doesn't do the story any favors, that's for sure. But the overall cute and RUPERT with his lovely accent moved this one onto my favorites list. :) I'm glad you enjoyed it!

    1. RIGHT!? You so get this film, Kara – it's always in the accent! :) So glad you like this one too; this is one mom and I enjoy watching every year, because well, we're all about those fairy tales. :)

  2. I loved this movie despite the short timeline. I fell in love with Theodora (Ellie Botterill) and watch it over and over as a feel good movie. Danica and Rupert were a perfect cast to complete the fairytale.

    1. Me too! It's such a sweet little film but then I enjoy ALL of Hallmark's fairytale flicks, and am anticipating their next one which airs this winter! :)

  3. I guess I never paid that much attention, I thought the timeline was longer the a few days it seemed to me. But I still LOVE this movie! For once characters and actors that don't drive me crazy! This one is a tie with A Princess for Christmas as my favorites! And seeing Rupert Penry-Jones again makes me forgive alot about a movie :)

    1. I do too, Kate. It's such a sweet little romance, plus it doesn't hurt a thing that its hero is BRITISH (always about the accent!).

YAY! I love A Princess for Christmas too and am excited about their winter film about a "royal." Thanks so much for visiting! :)
