Giveaway | Valentine's Day Reads and MORE!

Hello, reading friends and fellow book nerds! How is 2017 treating you? Well I hope. It seems nearly impossible to believe that we're a month into the new year and time is marching away on this second month. With the Super Bowl done and over with, all of the "anticipated" events are over at my house until those summer holidays begin to roll around - and with the rate this winter season is going, that won't be long.

Next around the bend is Valentine's Day. Though my idea of a good way to celebrate is being tucked away cozily at home with a Hallmark film, there's always the option of reading a good book! Today I'd like to give one of you that option by offering a "Winner's Choice" romance-y book (from varying genres and styles). I've picked a few of my favorites to feature. You can discover WHAT (Kindle) books you can choose from down below. PS: you can also enter to win (US ONLY) a novel by Victoria Aveyard and Katherine Reay down below!

+ The Runaway Princess ("PG13") by Hester Browne - Goodreads | Review
+ The Selection by Kiera Cass - Goodreads | Review
+ Once Upon a Prince by Rachel Hauck - Goodreads | Review
+ The Goodbye Bride by Denise Hunter - Goodreads | Review
+ The Start of Me and You by Emery Lord - Goodreads | Review
+ Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins - Goodreads | Review
+ Anchor in the Storm by Sarah Sundin - Goodreads | Review
+ Within the Veil by Brandy Vallance - Goodreads | Review
+ Meant to Be Mine by Becky Wade - Goodreads | Review
+ The Distance Between Us by Kasie West - Goodreads

(If you've never entered a giveaway on Finding Wonderland, read on below for the rules.)

And now let's get the rule details out of the way. (If you're a pro in giveaway's around here, just skip to the good bit: the widget!)

The giveaway(s) is open to All readersThe prize will be a Kindle copy, unless otherwise noted (US readers might have a paperback option when applicable). I do ask that anyone who leaves a comment under "anonymous," please leave the same name you enter into the widget in your comment - it's not easy to try and match comments when there is no name and in fairness to everyone else, I want to be able to be sure everyone who used the Rafflecopter correctly has a fair chance at winning against those who abuse it - there have been a few people I could not verify. So please, I don't mean to overwhelm, but just keep this in mind when entering future giveaways. I'd sure appreciate it! Winner(s) will have 48 hours to respond to the email notification (you'll be contacted at the email address in the Rafflecopter form) before another winner is randomly chosen.

To be entered in the giveaway, just enter as much or as little as you like into the Rafflecopter widget, which you'll find down below. The Giveaway ends February 11th. Happy Rafflecopter-ing!

RED QUEEN by Victoria Aveyard: This is a world divided by blood – red or silver.

The Reds are commoners, ruled by a Silver elite in possession of god-like superpowers. And to Mare Barrow, a seventeen-year-old Red girl from the poverty-stricken Stilts, it seems like nothing will ever change.

That is, until she finds herself working in the Silver Palace. Here, surrounded by the people she hates the most, Mare discovers that, despite her red blood, she possesses a deadly power of her own. One that threatens to destroy the balance of power.

Fearful of Mare’s potential, the Silvers hide her in plain view, declaring her a long-lost Silver princess, now engaged to a Silver prince. Despite knowing that one misstep would mean her death, Mare works silently to help the Red Guard, a militant resistance group, and bring down the Silver regime.

But this is a world of betrayal and lies, and Mare has entered a dangerous dance – Reds against Silvers, prince against prince, and Mare against her own heart. - Goodreads

A PORTRAIT OF EMILY PRICE by Katherine Reay: Emily Price—fix-it girl extraordinaire and would-be artist—dreams of having a gallery show of her own. There is no time for distractions, especially not the ultimate distraction of falling in love.

But Chef Benito Vassallo’s relentless pursuit proves hard to resist. Visiting from Italy, Ben works to breathe new life into his aunt and uncle’s faded restaurant, Piccollo. Soon after their first meeting, he works to win Emily as well—inviting her into his world and into his heart.

Emily astonishes everyone when she accepts Ben’s proposal and follows him home. But instead of allowing the land, culture, and people of Monterello to transform her, Emily interferes with everyone and everything around her, alienating Ben’s tightly knit family. Only Ben’s father, Lucio, gives Emily the understanding she needs to lay down her guard. Soon, Emily’s life and art begin to blossom, and Italy’s beauty and rhythm take hold of her spirit.

Yet when she unearths long-buried family secrets, Emily wonders if she really fits into Ben’s world. Will the joys of Italy become just a memory, or will Emily share in the freedom and grace that her life with Ben has shown her are possible? - Goodreads

  1. I recently got to show my young daughter Letters to Juliet. It was a TV version, so it was pretty tame. My daughter absolutely loved it. It was so cute to see her reaction to one of my chick flicks, lol.

As for books, I finally got a chance to start reading my copy of Newton and Polly by Jody Hedlund. I can't wait to really get into it!!

    1. Aw, how fun! Isn't that one adorable!? :) I'm glad your daughter enjoyed it - and I'd have probably been the same at her age. I loved those kind of romances, and to this day 'Juliet' is one of my favorites.

YAY for a Jody Hedlund novel. She always writes beautifully. :)
