Can't Wait / Waiting On Wednesday | First Edition

Hello, readers and followers! Today I'm going an easy route and again linking up with a meme. You see, I had grand plans for the blog's content this week. It was going to be fun. It was going to be full of bookish awesome. It was going to be full of TV fangirl gushing. In short, the intention was to post ALL THE THINGS!

But, well, life intervenes, and obviously none of these happened. It's been a weird week, and though it's just been because it's the kind of week where the "normal" routine is MIA, it's still messed with my best-laid plans.

The plan is to return to the regularly scheduled blogging programming which shall include (but not be limited to) a review of a favorite British show (one I've long neglected publishing; expect FANGIRLING!); book reviews (including one for a certain amazingly talented author Katie Ganshert); and a giveaway that's theme will be all about Beauty and the Beast (can I just say yay for tying this giveaway mention into today's featured book?? Keep on scrolling). Not sure what it will all involve (let me know if you have a favorite Etsy - or any place, shop that features BATB fabulous), but there will be fun - or I hope so!

Back to today's bookish stuff. I'm linking up with my Bookstagram partner in crime, Tressa of Wishful Endings

Can't-Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted here to spotlight and talk about the books we're excited about that we have yet to read. Generally they're books that have yet to be released as well. It's based on Waiting on Wednesday, hosted by the fabulous Jill at Breaking the Spine. (Find out more here.)

For today's meme, I'm turning the spotlight on Meagan Spooner's, Hunted. For reasons!

Publisher: HarperTeen
Genre: YA Fantasy / Re-telling
Publication Date: March 14th 2017

Beauty knows the Beast’s forest in her bones—and in her blood. Though she grew up with the city’s highest aristocrats, far from her father’s old lodge, she knows that the forest holds secrets and that her father is the only hunter who’s ever come close to discovering them.

So when her father loses his fortune and moves Yeva and her sisters back to the outskirts of town, Yeva is secretly relieved. Out in the wilderness, there’s no pressure to make idle chatter with vapid baronessas…or to submit to marrying a wealthy gentleman. But Yeva’s father’s misfortune may have cost him his mind, and when he goes missing in the woods, Yeva sets her sights on one prey: the creature he’d been obsessively tracking just before his disappearance.

Deaf to her sisters’ protests, Yeva hunts this strange Beast back into his own territory—a cursed valley, a ruined castle, and a world of creatures that Yeva’s only heard about in fairy tales. A world that can bring her ruin or salvation. Who will survive: the Beauty, or the Beast? - Goodreads

Obviously the fact that this is a Beauty and the Beast re-telling leaves me crazy (crazy!) excited. Furthermore the fact that I scored a hardcover copy of this for just above $5.00 makes me even more excited (like, really, do you realize what a steal it is to get a hot-off-the-press hardcover for that inexpensive??). Gotta love new Prime members perks which came with a $5.00 coupon code. Obviously I spent it wisely.

Have any of you read this beauty? Comment down below with your thoughts, Waiting on / Can't Wait Wednesday blog links. I'd love to chat all things bookish with you.

Thank you for visiting Finding Wonderland.

    1. Awesome! I hope we both enjoy, Maria. It sounds amazing, and the cover intrigues me. Plus, the fact that "Belle" is cast as more of a fierce character than a book worm makes me curious. Wonder how that will work (for this story).

Right?? I'm glad I spent the code so wisely. :D

Happy Wednesday, and thank you for visiting today!

  4. Sometimes memes are good ones, like this one, because it's fun to get new ideas for books to read. I haven't read this series or author yet, need to rectify that soon!

    1. I agree, Lisa! I love memes; the only reason I mentioned it was because I do try and mix up my content rather than post back to back memes. :)

I enjoy these too because, yes, it's all about meeting new bloggers and learning about some new books. Plus it's fun! :)

      Thanks so much for visiting.
