Hallmark Channel Preview | Hallmark's 2017 Summer Nights Line Up

Today's post is for the Hallmark junkies among us. (Confession time: I am one of them.) Beginning last weekend (August 5th), the network kicked off their ‘Summer Nights’ campaign. Among this new block of programming is four new originals, and in between them, sat the season two premiere of Hallmark's beloved multi-generational series, Chesapeake Shores (August 6).

Last week, I previewed these four new flicks on Silver Petticoat. Among them is a romcom about a single mom who detests her summer neighbor (Love at the Shore, August 5); a sequel about winery owners (Summer in the Vineyard, August 12); Andie MacDowell stars as a woman with writer's block in a story based on a Jan Karon novel (At Home in Mitford, August 20); and finally, a workaholic career woman reconnects with a former friend at a resort (Sun, Sand and Romance, August 26). Oh, and this last one is also set to feature Sadie Robertson.

Of course, Chesapeake Shores also made its return August 6th. Aside from the fact that I'm excited period about the return of this show (it's my favorite!), I also love that it looks like Trace has SCREEN TIME with Abby's daughters. Not going to lie, I always thought their lack of scenes together in season one was a little... unusual. Nonetheless, I love the look of season two (more #Trabby swoons, please!), despite the "drama" the promo suggests. Though I haven't watched the season two premiere, I'm still excited.

I did see Love at the Shore, and aww... how cute is it?? If you want to read more of my official preview, click the links below and let me know in Silver Petticoat or here which or what you're most excited for!

Previewing Hallmark Channel’s Summer Nights

The calendar promises the start of a new month and with August arrives another hot, humid and hazy month of summer. For those of us who love Hallmark Channel, they invite us to grab a glass of lemonade and our favorite spot on the couch. In August, not only is the second season of Chesapeake Shores set to premiere, they also have four new original films in their ‘Summer Nights’ campaign. Continue reading on Silver Petticoat Review →

  1. Looks like it's going to be good! We don't get Hallmark but are soon going to visit our grandparents who do, so I'm eager to catch up on some good summer romance movies.

    1. YAY! Hope you enjoy, Korin. So far, Love at the Shore is a winner, so hopefully the rest will follow suit. Let me know which of these (or any of Hallmark's!) you enjoy. :)

Have a nice visit with your grandparents.

  2. I love Hallmark movies so much. They are always so sweet, adorable, and end with the HEA I need, leaving a huge smile on my face. Every. Time. There was one during Christmas in July that was such a standout, The Christmas Cure. I just loved it so much!

    1. Aww, I'm so glad you enjoyed The Christmas Cure, Sam. It was the first of what I suspect will be a standout Countdown to Christmas campaign. :)

Ditto to what you said. I never tire of these because they make me smile and happy. That's something we need more of in our entertainment.
