by

Last month, in February, Disney releases Mary Poppins Returns movie news + its trailer. Though magical, the trailer really tells us nothing, and yet, reveals enough.

All we learn from the trailer is that Mary does indeed return, and it’s delightful to see her again. Then that’s about it. That said, the marketing strategy behind the teaser is wise. It teases the viewer just enough to raise curiosity, but also keeps us wanting to know more. luckily, a synopsis tells us a little bit more about the story.

The film is a sequel that returns Mary to the lives of the Banks family during the Great Depression (the original setting of the novels). Michael and Jane Banks are again in need of their former nanny’s assistance, only this time, adulthood presents much different challenges. Though set during a dark time in history, the story appears to have plenty of sweet, and touching moments in store.  The cast consists of Emily Blunt, Ben Whishaw, Emily Mortimer, Lin-Manuel Miranda and Colin First is even rumored to be among the cast! This leads me to wonder what role he might play.    Click through the links below to see my full article on Silver Petticoat, and drop a comment about your thoughts or leave a thought down below about your thoughts on this Mary Poppins Returns movie news sequel.
