Month in Review | November 2017 + #Booktube Talk

The eleventh month of 2017 is done. The next-to-last month of 2017 has vanished. Yes, that’s right, November 2017 is gone. Ciao, November. Bonjour, December!

Another month’s end means another “month in review” here on Finding Wonderland.

Here we go.

»Favorites from November 2017«

1. Black Friday | Snagged some good deals on two of my TV show addictions. Just wish I’d found some equally epic deals on books.

2. Christmas Shopping | Took a trip to the city yesterday and did a little bit of Christmas shopping, had Starbucks and went to the bookstore. Naturally, I walked out with a new book. #BookwormProblems

3. Hallmark Channel | Yes, this channel is a frequent guest in my living room. ALL THE CHRISTMAS MOVIES. ALL THE TIME. Tell me about your favorites – and be on the lookout, I’ve got more reviews to come.

4. Reputation | Taylor Swift’s new album finally dropped – whaaat!!! I’d be lying if I said this album release wasn’t THE one I was most excited about. Is Reputation all avid fans wished it would be? I think so. Is Taylor’s sound different? Absolutely! But then, it’s her genuine ability to create (and talent with song writing) that gives her credible longevity. Just like 1989 and even Red before it, too some adjusting, Reputation is an album that grows on me with each new shuffle – and yes, it’s been on repeat.

What songs are on repeat for you?

5. Starbucks | When this coffee chain opens not one but two stores about 30-40 minutes closer to me, it’s a happy day. Needless to say I’ve had more Starbucks in the last month than is ordinary.

6. Thanksgiving | A day to be thankful for everything good in our lives, and grateful that we can enjoy these moments.

» Bookstagram Challenge «

There’s another #WishfulWonder Bookstagram challenge. The fun begins today, December 1! All the details can be found in the introduction post. PS: if you’d ever like to join in as a host, let me know.

(Blog posts that, while not necessarily the most popular, were fun to write)

1. Booktube Talk | The TAYLOR SWIFT (#Reputation Era) Book Tag: had so much fun putting a little TSwift post together.

2. The Brave, Episodes 1-6 (2017) – First Impressions of NBC’s Military Drama: so far, I'm 110% enjoying this show! I just wish it were guaranteed a renewal because I think these characters have lots of stories to share with us. Sadly, I'm not optimistic.

3. Hallmark Reviews: yes, I review some Hallmark Channel Christmas originals! Of course, as I do every year, I cannot seem to pass up the chance to chat about all the cuteness that is Hallmark Channel Christmas movies. This month, Enchanted Christmas; Miss ChristmasThe Perfect Christmas Presentand With Love, Christmas were added to the archives on Finding Wonderland. Let me know if you'd like these to keep coming - because I'm going to keep on watching these. *Smile*

what else have I been up to?

Silver Petticoat:  Here’s a recap look at what I contributed to the amazing webzine, Silver Petticoat.

We were on a hiatus for part of the month due to a new theme and some "bugs" that needed to be worked out in the aftermath of its installation. That said, there is still some amazing new content on the site - with lots more to come!

Articles and Lists | My one feature article is a "part 2" preview of Hallmark Channel's Countdown to Christmas line up! Needless to say, there are some amazing originals coming - set those DVRs!

Film and TV Reviews | Finally, I review the wonderful drama, Gifted. Starring Captain America aka Chris Evans, I was so impressed with him in this role, and the cast in general. I also reviewed Hallmark's first (of the Christmas season proper) Christmas original of 2017, Marry Me At Christmas

TV Recaps | None!

As always, thanks to the editors of Silver Petticoat and my fellow contributors! Working with you all is always fun.
ps; there's a Book Giveaway currently going on, join the fun if you like
