Earlier this year I shared an anticipated reads of 2018 list – or rather it should be lists, plural (part 1, part 2). Only said lists were for the first half of the year. This is why, today Finding Wonderland is coming at you with a one of two part 2018 Book Releases to Anticipate list in which we’re going to talk about the books heading our way for the latter half of the year.
Much to my surprise, it was more difficult than I thought to find books to feature. Why this is I haven’t a clue. To be perfectly honest I’m hoping it’s because I’m honing in on what I like and feeling comfortable in knowing what I like, which is a blog
post topic I do plan to write about. But I digress. Either way, the books below are all books I’m super excited about. Let’s take a look at what they are.
2018 Book Releases to Anticipate | July – December
1: Sons of Blackbird Mountain by Joanna Bischof (in stores now) | Of course I’m excited about this one! I mean a: it’s a Joanne Bischof novel and b: it’s already on my shelf, so the question is: WHY HAVEN’T I READ THIS ONE!? Goodreads
2: Fawkes by Nadine Brandes (July) | This one is on the receiving end of so many glowing endorsements and reviews. I’m not 100% sure the plot sounds like a “me” kind of read, but with all the hype, this girl is curious. Also, how thrilling does Nadine’s follow up (Thomas Nelson) YA novel sound!? (Hint: it’s about Anastasia!) Goodreads
3: All Made Up by Kara Isaac (September) | Anytime Kara Isaac has a new book on the horizon, this makes me one happy reader. Goodreads
4: Kiss Me in Paris by Catherine Rider (September) | I picked up Catherine’s Kiss Me In New York earlier this year, and though I’ve yet to read it, it looks so whimsical and romantic. This one looks much the same. Plus, how cute is this cover!? Goodreads
5: The Geography of Lost Things by Jessica Brody (October) | When a book is likened to Morgan Matson (it’s cool that I love her books after having read ONE by her, right?), that’s sure to earn my attention! Goodreads
6: Snow in Love: Four Stories (October) | When there’s a book with Kasie West’s name on it, I’m going to sit up and take notice. Plus, who doesn’t enjoy cozy “fire place” romances during the the most wonderful time of the year? Goodreads
7: A Sparkle of Silver by Liz Johnson (October) | A new contemporary from the talents of Liz Johnson set on an island (though not Prince Edward which is the setting of Liz’s prior series) with a dual timeline plot. Given how well I like Liz’s Prince Edward books, this is all kinds of “yes, please.” Goodreads
8: The Color of Lies by C.J. Lyons (November) | Until this one showed up on my doorstep this one was unknown to me. But thanks to the awesome publisher, I now know about its existence, and of course, I’m curious. Goodreads
ALSO!! There’s a Goodreads page for an untitled novel by Kiera Cass set to drop in September!? COULD THIS BE TRUE!?!

I mainly want to read Fawkes because of the GORGEOUS cover, and I kind of thought that was why people were praising about it (I might have been busy ?).
And it is indeed… though it's late July and there's nothing on it yet… no cover, no title, no description… ?
Right!? I'm kind of freaking out about the whole Kiera Cass novel. BUT yes, there's NO NOTHING about it. I'm wondering if she's going to pull a popular-music-artist trick and release everything in a matter of days (weeks?) and then release said book. Either way, I'm curious!
I've heard SO many good things about Fawkes. Makes me all the more anxious to read it. :)
The Geography of Lost things looks great. I think I've seen it pop up once or twice, and each time I think ooh might have to get that! Snow in Love looks cute too.

Fawkes is earning SO MANY AMAZING reviews, Jordan. I'm hopeful this means the story is wonderful – and 'Blackbird' does sound great. It's next on my TBR, so I'm about to dive into this love triangle story. :)
