Month in Review | July 2018 + #Booktube Talk

Hey, there August! Another end of another month brings with it yet another Finding Wonderland Month in Review recap-y thing. Late though this is (*looks for July*), here we are. Getting our "recap" on and sharing all the July 2018 recap thoughts. (Yes, I'll mention it: we're now past the halfway point of 2018! Like, whaaat!?)

Ciao, July 2018. Bonjour, August!

Here we go.

»Favorites & News from July 2018«

1: Carrie Underwood's 'Cry Pretty' | This is definitely "old news," but I forgot to mention and ask, who's excited for new music from this talented artist!? I know I am. Her first single, 'Cry Pretty' is unique, but also stays true to her brand and "sound."

2: Netflix | Still plugging away at all my Netflix binge-watching. Tell me, would you like a post reading about my most recent posts a-la June's post that is In My Netflix Queue: 6 New Reasons To Love Netflix.

3: To All the Boys I've Loved Before | After months, nay, years, of saying I wanted to read Jenny Han's popular YA novel. Finally I did, and I've actually already reviewed it. Bring on the Neflix adaptation.

4: Wordpress vs Blogger | I am again engaged in the internal debate whether or not to move to self-hosted Wordpress. I've been against WP for so many years, when I blogged for "free," because of the limited design abilities. Now, what holds me back is the costs! I mean, wow! Self hosting WP is expensive. Who here self hosts!? Tell me your best sources, hosting and tips. I'm curious.

»Wishful Wonder Bookstagram Challenge«

There’s another #WishfulWonder Bookstagram challenge. The fun began August 1! All the details can be found in the introduction post. PS: if you’d ever like to join in as a host, let me know.

what else am I writing?

Silver Petticoat | As is the norm, there's been plenty of amazing new content over on Silver Petticoat. Here’s a recap look at what I contributed to the amazing webzine.

Articles and Lists | In honor of Hallmark's June Weddings, I highlight Love at First Dance in Silver Petticoat's weekly Romantic Moment feature. Speaking of Hallmark, we also preview their 'Summer Nights' 2018, and take a look at "What we Know" about the new Little Women adaptation! Finally, we provide a list of (hopefully) ten of the best new flicks heading to the summer trip to the Box Office.

Film and TV Reviews | My single review for July? (All about articles this month.) I review Freeform's latest TV show Cloak and Dagger, which is the newest addition to Marvel's TV universe.

TV Recaps | None!

As always, thanks to the editors of Silver Petticoat and my fellow contributors! Working with you all is always fun.
